Thank you for communication nourishing relationships with compassion.
Thank you for our bodies appreciating us for feeding them well. A reward is happy energy.
Thank you for a song a neighbor sent (not sure why) on Valentine’s Day—Martha by Tom Waits. Thank you for Marthas and Toms.
Thank you for Friday tidying sessions with BT. Thank you for our progress on multiple levels. Thank you for the laughs we share.
Thank you for the difference between shame and guilt. Did Brene Brown talk about it? Guilt for not living my values or for causing hurt is appropriate. Shame debilitates. While there is no shame in wrongdoing, guilt helps me accept responsibility and grow.
Thank you for a slip on ice that bubbled a giggle of whimsy. It was like in the Ted Talk Sister A sent—dancing!
Thank you for awareness of the potential to cause harm. Drug or alcohol problems may be years behind me but their seeds are still there. Awareness of dormant potential safeguards me from actualizing it.
Thank you for efforts to simplify life.
Thank you for doggy acupuncture.
Thank you for my healthiest ten years since switching to a plant-based diet.
Thank you for positive transformations happening overnight on a whim. Going vegan was like that. Same with adopting Peaches.
Thank you for firm decisions to be led toward love regardless of obstacles. What appears a sacrifice, when made for the right reasons, may really be a gift.
Thank you for hemp, chia, and flax seeds.
Thank you for genuine friends. Thank you for the warmth of exchanging I love yous with them.
Thank you for those who stand by unpopular decisions firm with internal conviction.
Thank you for the distinction between forcing myself to do what seems right from the outside and freeing myself to do what feels right deep inside (deeper even than less-than-healthy patterns that may feel natural).
Thank you for insects. Thank you for environments where they thrive.
Thank you for the Rich Roll Podcast with Rick Rubin! Thank you for his insights on creativity and mysticism. Thank you for when we notice the whispers, respect them, and act on them.
Thank you for personal relationships with the universe. Thank you for conversations with the unconscious through dreams and the like. Thank you for inspiration everywhere. Thank you for honing our vision to see life’s magic.
Thank you for art in general and the art of living specifically.
Thank you for deliberation on whether or not to continue these posts. Part of me sees them as silly and redundant. Sometimes they feel boring. It’s ok. Maybe I’ll keep it up at least until the move home, granted no emergency sidetracks focus before then. Purposes:
Sustain and promote a gratitude practice. (To cultivate positivity and share it may have ripple effects.)
Cultivate and share inspiration from books, podcasts, videos, life happenings, etc.
Communicate thoughts and updates to loved ones.
Dissolve my shame by exposing my vulnerability.
Develop tenacity fused with authenticity. Being consistent even if it seems trifling or redundant may build a reputation with both the universe and my self esteem.
Give back some of the love shown me.
May we open to the gifts life silently lays all around us <3
